Thomas Dillon has held the Chief Information Officer position for two of the largest international gaming companies in the world: in Macao and Singapore for Las Vegas Sands, and in Macao and Boston for Wynn Resorts.


Tom began his hospitality and gaming profession in Nevada in 1980 working in hotel operations, F&B, before moving on to Information Technology.  After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Tom worked for 20+ years at Hilton Gaming Corporation’s Information Technology department, as well as its properties in Las Vegas, Laughlin, Reno, and Punta del Este (in Uruguay).


Tom moved to Macao in 2005 to head Sands China’s IT department – eventually as the SVP / CIO – overseeing infrastructure and applications selection, plus development of custom software for integration into the dozens of vendor applications at Sands, Venetian, Four Seasons and Sands Cotai Central. Additionally, he oversaw the design and building of the IT Infrastructure at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.


Later, Tom became the SVP/CIO for Wynn Macau, designing and building the IT infrastructure and applications for Wynn Palace. Once completed, he moved on to Wynn Boston to plan the infrastructure and application selection for its upcoming property.


Tom’s most recent project was as a consultant for Hilton Hotels on guest room technologies that engaged the IOT (Internet of Things) on their “Hilton Connected Room” project.
